Step 2: Render 360 panos with D5 for SketchUp

Notes

  • Render cameras as equirectangular 360 panos.

  • 2:1 Aspect ratio

    • 2048 x 1024px

    • 4096 x 2048px

    • 6144 x 3072px

    • 8182 x 4096px

  • Image format

    • .jpg

    • .png

  • Max file size

    • 500MB

  • Name images with the same sequence number as your camera.

    • Camera Name: DS_myCamName_001

    • Image Name: myImageName_001.jpg


Render views with D5

Step 1: Connect to D5 Render

  • In SketchUp, Press the D5 logo to connect your scene to D5 Render



Step 2: Send Scenes from SketchUp into D5

  • In SketchUp, click the "Send Scenes" button to bring your scenes from Step 1 into D5 Render.



Step 3: Refresh thumbnails (optional)

  • In D5, Scene thumbnails do not automatically appear. Click on the thumbnail to update or click "Update Scene" if you have re-synched.



Step 4: Select all Scenes

  • In D5, Select all of the scenes that were imported from SketchUp



Step 5: Open Image Tools

  • In D5, click the camera icon in the top right corner.



Step 6: Change mode to "Panorama"

  • Change mode to "Panorama"

  • Adjust your Preset Size (any)



Step 7: Add to Render Queue

  • Click the "Add to Render Queue" button in the bottom right corner.


Step 8: Open Render Queue

  • Open the Render Queue in the top right corner.



Step 9: Select Scenes to render

  • Select the scenes you would like to render.



Step 10: Select a Save Location

  • Change your Output location to a project folder on your computer.


Step 11: Save & Render

  • Select "Save & Render" to start batch rendering to your output location.
